Michael Lee
Assistant Vice President
Mike is a former Lieutenant in the U.S. Coast Guard with years of seagoing
and regulatory experience. As a federal law enforcement and Deck Watch
Officer, Mike conducted counter-migration and counter-narcotics operations
throughout the Caribbean on board a Medium Endurance Cutter. He concluded
his military service as a Senior Watch Officer for the Coast Guard’s
Southeast/Caribbean Command Center and Intelligence Officer for the Coast
Guard’s Maritime Intelligence Center. Mike comes to McRoberts from
Maritime Protective Services, Inc., where he honed his expertise as a lead
ISPS/MTSA instructor and Senior Maritime Consultant. Mike holds a
bachelor’s degree from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy and a 100-ton Merchant
Mariner Captain’s License.
Wayne
Pack
Training and Development Manager
Wayne comes directly from Homeland Security Corporation, where he was a
certified Transportation Security Administration (TSA) instructor and a
graduate of the TSA screener course in Oklahoma City, OK. While at
Homeland, he trained TSA airport screeners on all facets of passenger
checkpoint procedures as well as explosive trace detection systems. Prior
to joining Homeland Security Corporation, Wayne served in the airline
industry with Air Midwest Airlines and US Airways in a series of
progressively responsible management positions, including Manager of
In-flight Services and In-flight Training Specialist. He has a B.S. degree
in Business Administration/HR from Southwest Missouri State University.
Douglas Snow
Port Everglades Operations Manager
Doug is a seasoned investigator and manager with 18 years of security
industry experience. He joined McRoberts in 2003 and was quickly
recognized for his outstanding leadership abilities. He has served as the
Terminal Security Officer (TSO) for numerous cruise clients in a highly
regulated environment without incident. Doug currently presides over the
security operations as the Facility Security Officer of the premiere
passenger cruise terminals in the Port of Miami, renown as the Cruise
Capital of the World. Doug is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Brendan Nichols
Port of Miami Operations Manager
Brendan is an attorney and a former law enforcement officer in the states
of Virginia and Florida. He holds a B.S. in Psychology from Longwood
College, a J.D. from St. Thomas University Law School and is certified in
Domestic Drug Interdiction. Brendan currently presides over the McRoberts
security operations as the Facility Security Officer of the premiere
passenger cruise terminals in the Port of Miami, renown as the Cruise
Capital of the World.
Jesse
B. Owens
Central Florida Maritime Operations Manager
A 26-year veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard with 21 years of shipboard and
small boat operations experience. Jesse completed his Coast Guard career
as Commanding Officer, Coast Guard Station Port Canaveral, FL where he
directed maritime law enforcement activities for the port in concert with
local, state and federal officials. Following September 11th, Jesse
implemented the federal security vessel escort, inspection and sea
marshalling programs for Port Canaveral. Jesse has 16 years of experience
as a federal maritime law enforcement officer and instructor. Jesse
currently manages McRoberts Operations in Tampa and Port Canaveral,
Florida.
Steven Yodice
Eastern Gulf Operations Manager
Steve has a distinguished law enforcement and security career. He is a
retired sergeant from the Freeport, N.Y. Police Department, where he
received 14 Departmental Decorations, including two for Distinguished
Valor. Following his relocation to Florida, he initially served with the
Dade City, Florida Police Department and then as the General Manager for
Globe Security in Tampa International Airport, where he supervised
security and screening operations. Steve joined the Transportation
Security Administration (TSA) when it was formed in 2002 and served as a
supervisor in the Mobile Screening force. He was instrumental in the
start-up of TSA operations at Baltimore-Washington International and
Orlando International Airports before returning to Tampa. Immediately
prior to joining the McRoberts team, he was serving as a TSA supervisor in
both passenger and checked baggage operations.
Benjamin McCorkel
Jacksonville Operations Manager
Ben comes to McRoberts with over 27 years of combined law enforcement and
security management experience. After serving as a deputy sheriff for the
first 10 years of his career, Ben transitioned to the private sector as
the Law Enforcement Training Officer and Security Manager for Kings Bay
Naval Submarine Base. During his 15-year tenure at Kings Bay, Ben managed
over 250 private security personnel, was responsible for conducting
security assessments and instructing both military and contract security
staff on topics such as anti-terrorism methodologies, counter-terrorism,
and identification and response to weapons of mass destruction. Ben is a
Certified Law Enforcement Officer in Florida and Certified Law Enforcement
Instructor in Georgia and Florida.
Michael Jurina
Northern Gulf Maritime Operations Manager
A seasoned investigator and law enforcement trainer, Mike directs all
McRoberts Maritime Security activity in the ports of the Northern Gulf of
Mexico. Immediately prior to joining McRoberts, he was an investigator and
training coordinator with the Office of the District Attorney of New
Orleans where he trained members of the District Attorneys Office, USCG
(GSA contract security), U.S. Marshal’s Service, New Orleans School Board
Security, and other State and local agencies. Prior to that, he
coordinated the training and management of the Reserve Deputy Program for
the Office of Civil Sheriff of Orleans Parish, LA. Mike is a licensed
Private Security Examiner in the States of Louisiana and Florida and is a
member of the New Orleans Area Maritime Security Committee. In addition,
he maintains active memberships in the following organizations: National
Sheriff’s Association, Louisiana Sheriff’s Association, International
Association of Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors, NRA, ASLET (American
Society of Law Enforcement Trainers) and LEETA (Law Enforcement Educators
and Trainers Assoc).
Garry Wythe
Southern Gulf Operations Manager
A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, Garry is a seasoned manager and entrepreneur
in the maritime industry with experience as a facility manager and ship
engineer. Garry honed his maritime security skills as a McRoberts Terminal
Security Officer by managing the daily security operations for our cruise
clients at the Port of Galveston. Garry is a Commissioned Security Officer
with the State of Texas.
Anthony Pecoriello
Mid-Atlantic Maritime Operations Manager
Prior to joining McRoberts in 2001, Anthony served in the U.S. Army with a
Top Secret clearance as a Special Forces Weapons Specialist and a Military
Police Instructor. His wide range of military and security experience
includes: crisis management, physical security, emergency response,
personnel management, fire cause / prevention, integration, evidence
collection, fraud, counter-drug operations, surveillance and overall crime
prevention. Anthony is a certified Criminal Investigator for the State of
New Jersey and is licensed as a security manager by the Waterfront
Commission of New York Harbor.
Mike Valvo
Port of New York and New Jersey Operations Manager
Mike Valvo joined the company in 2000 as a Supervisor for the McRoberts
Shows Division in New York. Demonstrated leadership abilities led to
promotions of Field Supervisor and later, Operations Manager for the New
Jersey branch of McRoberts Protective Agency. As such, Mike was
instrumental in the startup of cruise operations in Bayonne, NJ. As the
Terminal Security Officer for Cape Liberty Cruise Port, Mike has developed
expertise on the management of accounts within the jurisdiction of the
Waterfront Commission of New York Harbor. Mike currently manages cruise
and cargo operations in the Port of New York and New Jersey.
Jose
Serrano
Caribbean Maritime Operations Manager
Jose is a veteran manager of McRoberts Maritime Security with experience
coordinating cruise, cargo and underguard transport security. He currently
provides operational management for cruise and cargo terminal security in
the Port of San Juan and has built relationships with the key regulators
and leadership of numerous federal and local agencies.
In
addition to key staff members, McRoberts also partners with regional
security providers to deliver standardized training and security services
nationwide.
